One of my favourite movies of all time. It's hysterical and moving. I totally got the humour whereas my husband thought it was weird. I'm normally not a big Bradley Cooper fan but both he and Jennifer Lawrence were awesome.

Good movie. I would highly recommend it.

I haven't read this book and really didn't know what to expect from the movie. I enjoyed it with all the quirky characters and their interactions. You definitely cheer for the main characters at the end!

A change of pace, very well done. It can be a bit hard to take, being about someone who is always in hyperdrive, but it is different and it works.

I barely could watch 15 minutes of it, before being extremely disappointed that it's nothing like the book. My bf found it boring too.

This movie is hilarious and moving with an intelligent, witty script. The cast is uniformly great, with Bradley Cooper being the surprise for me. Robert DeNiro is perfect. I know people with bipolar disorder and OCD and the characters' actions resonated. Not for everyone --- but for me 5 stars!

A great cast and story but it's marred by the excessive improvisational script. There are moments where everyone's speaking on top of everyone else, sometimes shouting, I found it rather tiresome and wearing. As much as I love Jennifer Lawrence, I'm surprised she won an Oscar for this movie but after reviewing the other nominees that year I understand her competition was formidable.

a violent felon on meds, and on probation with a restraining order not to go near his ex-wife, whose boyfriend he mangled, won't hear of it, and agrees to compete in a dance contest, I ask you, with someone not much nicer than he is if she'll get a letter to this ex-wife, his father's financial future, in an improbable side story, depends on it, "Rambo" meets "Staying Alive", no one here deserves an Oscar

This movie is a great way of raising empathy, understanding, and awareness on the various mental health issues that exist in our society/communities.This hit home to me because I worked in a mental health setting and I also have loved ones that struggle with mental health issues on a daily basis. The characters portrayed by the cast make this movie very real &intriguing. The comedic yet dramatic tone makes this movie very appealing for both YA and Adult viewers.

Without a doubt, “Silver Linings Playbook” enjoys a good script and fine performances from its talented cast. However, I can’t help but feel that some of the issues that come up in this film are oversimplified. Perhaps this is a good thing; I’m not sure.
