Nobody does eyeballs better than Jon Klassen.
Winner of the Caldecott medal
Another great one from Jon Klassen. The whole time the kids were anticipating the outcome and were not disappointed. So subtle yet so funny!
The follow-up book to "I Want My Hat Back", which I do recommend be read first, for there are elements this story makes use of to make it all the more funny. "This is Not My Hat" is very well thought out and paced; the expressions of the big fish that counter the thoughts of the little fish, and the story idea itself are absolutely hilarious. This is a great one to read out loud.
It's the best! I laughed, smiled, and laughed somemore. A must read.
