Add a CommentColdplay with acoustic guitars. And I don't mean that as a compliment. This personifies mediocrity in pop music.
Mumford and sons is a really good band.
The more I listen to this CD the more I love it. Great lyrics, vocals, and rich sound. One minor quirk (and I'm getting very picky when I mention this) - on one or two tracks the vocals sound mechanical and don't flow smoothly with the music.
It's hard to find an album where you love every song on it, but this is definitely one of them. I listen to their songs and want to get up and dance, and go start some kind of old fashioned folk like riot or something. The sound is fresh, and there isn't anything quite like it. Plus their lyrics actually have a meaning and emotions.
An amazing group, amazing voices, amazing music. There's a lot of feeling and I LOVE listening to all of it.
Freaking perfect.
This group plays with such conviction - the lyrics are full of fight and resonate with universal sentiments and experience, but are obviously very personal. It's refreshing to hear timeless, traditional instrumentation in the popular consciousness. Awesome.
This is one of the best albums I have heard. They really have something special going on with their mix of folk and rock. Definitely give it a listen!
Everything about this band works really well together. It is a little folk mixed with alternative. One of their top songs from this album is "the cave."
