Great book!
This is a really very well written classic book. I was reluctant to read it at first for my school, but when I read it, I couldn't put the books down!
a classic story so cute loved it and the movie was really good. need tto read and wwaatch the story #imagineteencontest
Totally magical! I grew up on one of the many film versions, so knew the story well. But the book is so much richer, and I was completely swept away. This is by far one of the most beautiful books for young girls I've ever read, and I will be reading it to my daughter one day. I'm so thankful I finally read it!
I still love dreaming of the walled in, secret garden of overgrown roses, spring bulbs, and a wooden gate hidden by ivy. A beautiful story of bringing back life and love.
Had this read to me as a kid and I absolutely loved it. I also read it as an adult and loved it.
This book was dull, boring, and provided no entertainement at ALL.
A favourite of mine from childhood, my daughters loved it, too, when I read it aloud to them. They also loved the movie version!
One of my favorite novels as a child, and one I still love as an adult. Any book set in an old manor house in England, including a part of the house or grounds with a closed-off, mysterious area, would have been very much the sort of book I've always loved. Plus, the story of a young boy shut away from life, saved by a spirited young girl, pulls at the heart strings. An all-around classic children's novel. The author also write books for adults, by the way, some equally brilliant.
