Add a CommentExcellent book. Just like all Jack Reacher novels, there is no lack of suspense or action. Not cluttered with romantic issues nor unnecessary pages of descriptions. Aside from the above, the plot was difficult for me to follow - what was going on?, what was the end objective? Somewhat confusing despite the overall action.
Even a disappointing Reacher book is worth reading. My least favorite of the series, starts out interesting and kind of loses its way...
Excellent first part: full of suspense and mystery, wonderfully witty dialogue. The novel's last part took an abrupt change of direction.Like two different books in one.
Enjoyed this book a great deal. I agree with the other comments that the story falls apart a bit in the second half, but the page turning style of Lee Child definitely makes up for it.
My least favorite of the series. Didn't have the 'must turn the page' pacing of other Reacher novels. Skimmed the last half.
Not Child's best, but Jack Reacher is always kind of fun
First half gets you interested. Some dragged out parts. The climax is a typical Reacher climax but the end result wasn't the best. Almost confusing at some moments and boring. Lee Child has written better...
first 300 pages fine and I enjoyed typical Reacher till then after which I lost my way as did the auther and all the characters. C H-S
Only Lee Child could make car rides interesting!
I agree that this is the best Reacher book in a while.
