Add a Commenti wanna read this so bad! already (GOT! *from chapters*) read smile and I want to read this one!
Same author as 'smile'. It's a pretty good book :) I read it in french and it also, was hard to put down. I strongly recommend this book and also the book 'smile'. It was entertaining read :)
Callie loves theater. So much, that she joins the tech club at her local junior high school. There she builds sets, helps run the backstage and generally has a blast with her friends. So when a new year brings new members, including to cute brothers, she can't help but get pulled into the drama. As a huge fan of Raina's first book, Smile, I was predisposed to like this books from the start. But then when I read it, I fell in love. The story spoke to me so much. I was on the tech crew in High School, so I immediately identified with Callie and the camaraderie that happens back stage. I also got the falling in love with boys that would prove to be unreachable in so many ways. This is a great work that should be on every middle school library shelf. BRILLIANT!!!!
This is a good book, but I didn't enjoy it as much as "Smile". The themes are much more mature than in her previous book and the boy drama took over everything else in the story. Perhaps this book had too much drama in the end, and Callie's character development got lost in it all. This one is for teens, while "Smile" is great for tweens.
i loved this book and everything about it.also if u liked this book then u have to read smile.
i agree with playland, when he or she said all of her books are awesome and i agree with orangutang even thought i did read drama smile will always be one of my favorite books ;). And guess what I had the book right in front of me, I can't wait to read to see if it's as good as smile. After I read i'll tell every one how I fell about the book drama. smile:)
first post and i need to read this loved smile
I really didn't like this book as much as Smile. It's still good, don't get me wrong and there a lot of things she gets right (like all of the drama that goes with being in Drama :) However, the ending felt a little contrived and I was kind of disappointed. But don't let me stop you! Everyone else thinks it's a great depiction of middle school life and drama and questioning sexuality... I just wasn't a fan.
It was a pretty good book, with an unexpected ending.
its a awesome book !!!!!!!!! and all of her books are awesome too
