First in another magical YA series by Tamora Pierce.
This book is great. If you like reading about magic you'll love this book. I really like Daine's magic.

Love, love, love this quartet! I recently started re-reading this and it's just as wonderful as when I first read it when I was younger. This series has it all: Fantasy, magic, set in what we consider the Middle Ages (with all that came with that, including knights), great protagonists and antagonists and a fantastic main character in the form of twelve year old Daine who grows and evolves over the four year period during which the books take place. Read it if you, or someone you know, enjoyed Deltora Quest.
