This book was very intriging and full of suspense. The characters were unique and quirky too. Max-Ernest lives together with his two divorced parents in one separate house and Cass is a total survival finatic. With two amazing characters and one BIG secret this book will keep you on the edge of your seat!

its a great book with an awesome but mysterious narrator!!!! All about a BIG secret! I sooooooooooooooooooooooo
recommend this book no matter what bad things you might have heard about it.(but seriously I do not understand how you can NOT like this book!!)
-big fan of this book!:)

Okay. I absolutely LOVED this book! So, for a reaalllyyy long time, I put it off, but when my friends- I mean, my very SECRET and RELIABLE sources told me to read it, I couldn't out it off any longer. Pseudonymous Bosch has the COOLEST imagination (exception of my reliable sources) and BEST way with words. I absolutely loved the 'I can't tell you' bits, sorry. But, I can see how it would get to be annoying. If you like this kind of 'mystery that is in the kid section but is the best thing since pen and ink' books, try reading the Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart! I loved it to death, and I am currently on a hunt for these books- though, it's gotta be cheap. Okay, 'very good'??? You sound like a Vulcan. No offense, but you do

A very nice book although the constant "I can not tell you" kinda annoyed me

I enjoyed the plot of this book and I think it is well written for its target age. However, personally I was annoyed by the round-about way the author described things and the way he addressed the reader directly. But neither of these were by any stretch enough of a turn-off that I wanted to stop reading.I loved the inclusion of synesthesia, in fact it started my fascination with it! The characters were loveable and the ending was fantastic!! I haven't read the rest of the series yet, but because I just reread this, so I might finish the series, even if it's for younger kids.
